Faizullah Zaki is an Honorary Board Member of Developing Opportunity.  Mr. Zaki currently represents Jowzjan Province in Afghanistan as a Member of Parliament in the Wolsei Jirga (Lower House) of the Afghanistan Parliament.  He is also the Chairman of the Natural Resources Committee and was successful in passing "The Law on Environment."  He is currently working on two bills on hydrocarbons and minerals. Long a supporter of education in Afghanistan, Mr. Zaki works closely with the U.S. based non-profit organization, Developing Opportunity, to bring quality education to Northern Afghanistan.

Mr. Zaki was born and raised in Kabul and earned a degree in geology from Kabul University.  In 1991 Mr. Zaki moved his family to Uzbekistan where he was the Deputy Director General of Quyosh Co. LTD., a family company. He returned to Afghanistan in late 2001 during the fall Taliban.
